A Comparative Analysis on Hyperbaric Therapy and Radio-Therapy

Many of us know about the use of HBOT. However in short hyperbaric association, define it to be the way of treatment by which 100% pure and pressurized oxygen is infused in a closed chamber.
A strong argument I came across, while reading a journal relating cancer in this February. This is an argument of to or not to go for the HBOT if you already went through the radiation therapy or even a surgery.
It is about the HBOT treatment given to ten brain tumor patients. They were examined before the treatment and also after the treatment (6 weeks and 4 months approximately). The result is quite encouraging. The treatment was given to them after the radio surgery and neurosurgery.

The tests comprised of -
  • EEG examination.
  • IQCODE for the functioning of the brain.
  • NCT - the Number Connection Test
  • CRTT - Continuous Reaction Time Testing
Beside these the LERC’s (as evoked from the EEG) also hold importance. For the better comparison, some normal people were also examined.
After the examination, though the result generated from the NCT was not a conclusive one, however the result of IQCODE favored hyperbaric organization. When all the results were compiled together, HBOT generated an improved and positive result (P<.006).
The result was improving with the hyperbaric treatment P3b (P=.02)
Analyzing the current results, hyperbaric association put a conclusion that hyperbaric chamber is definitely a suitable and proper treatment for the cancer and brain tumor too.
Thus, hyperbaric organization can now declare it that besides being a perfect for anti ageing, autism, cardiac arrest, etc. it is now effective for the treatment of cancer as well.
