Behavioral Signs of Autism
Autistic children are generally seen to be very disinterested in almost everything around them. Offer them with toys, food, or any other object that little children should find interesting, and they would probably show a complete lack of interest in it.
They are not very social either. Children suffering with autism are more likely to avoid interacting with the people around them than enjoy their company. Such a child may not even want to make eye contact with a person talking to them. They will face a serious difficulty in learning new skills, which is why most autistic children cannot develop the power of speech.
Other Signs of Autism
A number of other signs can also let you know if a child is autistic. For example, autistic children hate to be cuddled. Touch is generally a painful experience for them as they experience abnormal sensory responses.
They may want to stick to a routine day after day. For example, they may want to eat in the same bowl in the same room every day. They may want to stick to the same toy (if they want any toys at all). Autistic children also tend to throw major tantrums at things that may be totally insignificant to you.
Try to notice such signs as early as possible. An early step to treat autism would makes it easier for the autistic children to get rid of the pain and suffering, and slowly improve their condition towards a normal life.
